Architectural Series

Institutional Series
This series of wood door offers the beauty, strength, and durability to withstand the medium to heavy use that is found in public, and office buildings.
Commercial Series
The most popular series for light to medium use wood doors. A cost effective solution for commercial buildings, yet still offering the beauty, and strength to withstand day to day use.
Fire Rated Series
Available in fire ratings of 20, 45, 60, and 90 minute fire ratings. These doors are made to meet your fire rating needs, yet giving the appearance of the Architectural series.
Specialty Wood Doors
Lead-lined, soundproof, high impact doors are some of the Specialty doors that are offered. All Specialty doors are offered with the same veneers as other wood door series, so they can be used seamlessly in the design of your building.
Veneers

Cores
Different series of doors demand different cores.
Particle core to a density of 28 lbs per cubic foot is the most popular core for wood doors. This helps to reduce the risk of the door from bowing, twisting, or delaminating.
Structural Composite Lumber (SCL) core wood doors are usually used for heavy duty, and ultra heavy duty wood doors. Made by laminating lumber strands together, this core virtually eliminates the door from twisting, bowing, or delaminating.
To maintain the 45, 60, and 90 minute fire ratings, Mineral cores are used. Mineral cores are an asbestos-free, non-combustible composite mineral based fire core, similar to drywall cores.
An alternative core for a 45 minute fire rated door is Agrifibre. Agrifibre is made from wheat straw, soybean straw, and other rapidly renewable materials. Agrifibre can also be used where non-fire rated doors are needed to help obtain LEED points as no urea formaldehyde as used in is construction.
Factory Pre-finishing
Would it not be easier and more cost effective to have your wood doors arrive on site already painted, or stained to your requirements? Not only does it save time on site, but you can be sure that the doors are properly sanded, and sealed prior to staining to ensure a more even, and longer lasting finish than having them done on site. Our suppliers are capable of producing any colour of paint or stain that is specified.
